Scenic Gondola Rides are open!

Take a fifteen minute ride through the stunning natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains on the Cloudsplitter Gondola. This scenic lift transports you from the base of Whiteface Mountain to the peak of Little Whiteface, where you will be surrounded by panoramic views of Lake Placid, Lake Placid Village, Lake Champlain, and some of the highest peaks in New York State. It is one of the best ways to start your day at Whiteface Mountain.

At the base, make time to visit the Legends Cafe before or after your gondola ride for some great eats.

* The Cloudsplitter Gondola closes 30 minutes after the posted operating hours, gondola must be boarded by 5:30pm.

**The Veterans Memorial Highway closes for entry at 5:30pm, entrants to the highway may remain at the summit until 6:00pm and must be departing the summit parking lot by 6:15pm.

Group gondola rides are available by appointment only for groups of 20 or more people. Please fill out the form below for more information, rates, and to make a group reservation. Reservations are required for all groups and must be made at least 48 hours prior to the groups’ arrival.
