Overview

The Adaptive Snowsports Program is for adults and children with disabilities who want to learn how to ski and snowboard. First-timers needn’t worry; lessons range from “Never-Ever” to the advanced skier or snowboarder. Lift ticket, lesson and rental adaptive equipment are included. The duration of the lesson is usually 1.5 hours, depending on the student. Payment is required at the time of reservation.

Advanced registration required. Reservations may be made 30 days in advance or by phone or mail. Blackout dates (Christmas Week, Martin Luther King Weekend and President’s Week) will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration forms are provided upon request or use the button below to print at home.

Please plan to arrive at Whiteface at least 45 minutes before your lesson begins to ensure you have enough time for tickets and rentals

Operational Updates

Health Check »
  • For this year the program will start and remain outside, for the entirety of the lesson.
  • We require those taking lessons and programs to complete a daily health check within 12 hours of participation.
  • Those taking lessons may ride the lifts together with other students and instructor(s) in the same group
  • Mask wearing is required throughout your time at our resort except for when actively skiing or when you are eating/drinking while seated. We recommend bringing extra face masks so you can change them if they get wet.

Cancellation Policy

A Snowsports School Director, Adaptive Snowsports Director, or Supervisor has the right to cancel any lesson if, in their opinion, the student’s current conditions would present an unreasonable risk to the student and/or snow conditions would do the same. We request that you give us at least 7 days’ notice if you are unable to fulfill your lesson reservation. The Adaptive Program Director makes the determination on instructor requirements. For additional information please contact.
