Parking & Shuttles at the Mountain

Parking is available at no cost daily to all guests at Whiteface in the River Lot, Lake Placid Lot, and Wilmington Lot, as well as both lots at Bear Den Mountain. Add convenience to your day with our Premier Lot parking option, which can be purchased for $25 per day.

Ski/snowboard equipment rental and the Whiteface Snowsports School is located at the Bear Den Base Area. If you are going to be renting equipment or participating in a lesson, we do not recommend purchasing the Premier Lot as it is about a mile up the road past the Main Base Lodge.

Please note that parking spaces are obtained on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. For those who prefer complementary spaces, shuttle service is available service to and from all of our parking lots.

*Please note there is no overnight camping in our parking lots.*

EV CHARGING

We’re proud to offer 20 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the River Lot and 4 charging stations in the Bear Den Lot as part of our effort to support cleaner transportation and a more sustainable mountain experience. These chargers give guests and staff a convenient way to power up while enjoying the day on the slopes and support a shift toward more environmentally conscious travel in the Adirondacks.

2025/26 Mountain Valley Shuttle Schedule

The Mountain Valley Shuttle is a free shuttle service that runs during the winter season from December 15th- through March 15th. The shuttle transports guests between Lake Placid and Whiteface with several stops in Lake Placid and Wilmington. If you don’t see your stop on the schedule below, call Essex County Transportation at (800) 914-9266 and they can help you determine a time and place where the bus will pick you up along the route. For group pick-ups, please call at least 24 hours in advance. If you have requested stop that is not on the schedule, please let the driver now so s/he may accommodate you.
