As a five year employee at the Cloudspin Bar and Grill at Whiteface Mountain, Colleen Blanchard has spent many ski seasons serving up delicious Bloody Marys, crafted with a secret, but extremely tasty, mix and topped off with a variety of appetizing garnishes. The Whiteface version is named to Liftopia’s 9 Ski Resort Bloody Marys To Try for its popularity with both guests and area residents. Colleen says that based on the presentation alone, skiers and riders are excited to experience the cocktail.
Over the years, she has come to know the locals and vacationers who complete their Whiteface experience, whether mid-day break or après, with a stop at the Cloudspin. Almost daily, she witnesses conversation and connections develop between pass holders and visitors as they share insider tips and favorite trails and terrain. This, as well as live bands, cold brews, après ski fare, and of course, the signature Bloody Mary creates a fun and energetic spot to enjoy while visiting Whiteface Mountain.
And for those who may get left behind in the lodge, Colleen says it is perfectly acceptable to “ride the pine ridge” all day while sipping the Whiteface specialty.
