The Passport package includes a one-time admission to the Whiteface Cloudsplitter Gondola, The Olympic Jumping Complex Skyride, Skating on the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval, entry to the Lake Placid Olympic Museum at the Olympic Center, 20% off a cross country trail pass, and admission to both the FIL World Cup Luge and the IBSF World Cup Bobsled & Skeleton at Mt Van Hoevenberg.

Along with the Passport pass and Legacy Sites branded lanyard, guests will receive a sticker set to collect at each venue. Also included with the Legacy Sites Passport is a 10% discount on purchases made at the various retail stores and food and beverage vendors located at the destination venues.

Scenic Cloudsplitter Gondola Rides | The 8-passenger Cloudsplitter Gondola carries you from the Main Base Lodge to the top of Little Whiteface in fifteen minutes. Enjoy the views on the way up and at the top you’ll find an observation deck awaiting you for awe-inspiring views of the Adirondacks and beyond.

The Cloudsplitter Gondola is is open daily, but is subject to weather.  Please visit Whiteface Conditions page prior to heading out.

OLYMPIC JUMPING COMPLEX

Skyride | Take a unique tour of a unique venue. Start on the scenic gondola and then transfer to a glass windowed elevator to the top of the HS 128 ski jump tower, for an unparalleled view of the High Peaks Region.

The Skyride will be open daily beginning December 5. It will be closed 12/24-12/25 for holidays and 2/5-2/11 for Ski Jumping World Cup.

OLYMPIC CENTER

Lake Placid Olympic Museum | Home to one of the world’s largest collections of Winter Olympic memorabilia. The museum features interactive displays, 3D visualizations, experiential learning exhibits, and engaging displays and artifacts that help to tell the stories of Lake Placid’s rich winter sports history and bold future.

Skating on the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval | Skate along the paths of past Olympians, including Eric Heiden who won 5 Gold medals on this same ice in 1980.

The Oval is open Thursday – Monday and closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It is open select hours and the current schedule can be found here.

 

MT VAN HOEVENBERG

Mt Van Hoevenberg cross country skiing is open daily. Please check daily updates page for current conditions and trail offerings.

Instructions:

  • Purchasers may visit the venues in any order they wish and your passport is valid from December 4, 2023 through March 24,2024.
  • Passports may be purchased online or at each venue.
  • If purchased online, at first venue, present print at home ticket and let our frontline staff know that this is your first visit to receive souvenir passport credential, lanyard, and beginning of the collectible sticker set.
  • If purchased at venue, you will receive your ticket, passport credential, lanyard and sticker at point of sale.
  • At each subsequent venue, present your ticket to be scanned and you will receive a venue sticker to add to your collection.
  • 10% retail and concession discount will work with presentation of the credential.
  • All purchases are final and non-transferrable.
