December 11, 2023 |9:06am The Face Lift and The Notch are currently on hold. Please check here for any updates.
Come out to watch this once-in-a-lifetime astronomical event at the mountain with a great view from the Cloudspin Bar & Grill deck in the Main Base Lodge! Join us for $40 lift tickets, live music and giveaways as the moon passes between the earth and the sun.
The partial eclipse begins at 2:12pm. Totality begins at 3:24pm. The maximum eclipse is at 3:26pm. Due to a decrease in light and visibility during this event, we plan to close our ski lifts at 2 pm for the day, this includes the Cloudsplitter Gondola.
Complimentary safety eclipse glasses will be provided as supplies last.
Remember: Looking directly at the eclipse without proper eye protection is never safe. Eclipse glasses are NOT regular sunglasses; no matter how dark, are not safe for viewing the Sun.
Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.
