Olympic Spirit Photo Contest

To celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the 1932 Games and the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, we invite you to share your Olympic Spirit. The Olympic spirit is best expressed in the Olympic Creed: “The most Important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.”

The Olympic Games are not just about the athletes who compete, but the chance to celebrate our shared humanity. In Lake Placid, the Olympic spirit lives and breathes on a daily basis, and especially during the Winter Olympics. Share your Olympic spirit with us, for a chance to win a Lake Placid prize pack, by uploading a photo to your social media. To enter tag @LakePlacidLegacySites and include the hashtag #LPGoforGold.

RULES:

  • Photos will show your best Olympic Spirit from any Lake Placid location.
  • Photos must be tagged and hash-tagged appropriately (see above).
  • Photos do not need to be current, but in order to receive a prize pack, you must be located in Lake Placid and available to pick-up.
  • Prizes packs will be available for pick-up at the Olympic Center Store, on the second floor of the Conference Center on Main Street (across from Subway). Prizes do not need to be picked up on the same day as notification, but must be picked up by the end of the contest (Sunday, February 20, 2022).
  • Prize packs will be available for pick-up during the hours of 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday-Friday.
  • A daily winner will be chosen each day (Monday, February 7 – Saturday, February 19), and winner notified via social media.
