Our snowmaking system is fired up at Whiteface. Winter is right around the corner, and our Snowmakers are laying down the goods. The crew is working hard on the trails. Thanks to this summer’s extensive improvements, our snowmaking system includes 14 new 600 horsepower motors, drives, and pumps that will move 1000 gallons of water a minute! This increased the pressure going up the mountain, utilized more efficient LowE guns, and substantially increased the amount of water we’re sending above the Legacy Lodge. What does it mean? We can make more snow faster and more efficiently, get more of the mountain open earlier, and reduce the number of hours it takes to do it.

On that note… Opening day is scheduled for Friday, November 26, 2021. First chair spins at 8:30m. At Whiteface, we make winter happen. We’ll see you on the slopes! For the most up to date info on all Whtieface operations, please visit our conditions page.
